                                                                   Purpose

Created as a special initiative of the Clark County Historical Museum, Vancouver, Wa., the Carnegie Library Consortium of Washington (CLCW) is a collaboration of Carnegie libraries in Washington State. The CLCW recognizes the unique society Carnegie buildings represent. As such, the consortium is an inclusive organization; open to all Washington State Carnegie library buildings regardless of whether they have been adapted for re-use.

                                                          Mission Statement

The CLCW is instilled with the mission of identifying Carnegie libraries in Washington State, raising awareness of the buildings and preserving them for future generations.

The consortium also strives to connect and collaborate with other Carnegie library preservation groups around the globe to ensure that these unique buildings are recognized for their valuable service to community and saved in perpetuity.
